Greetings!

If you can, get to Cannes, that's my advice. Even if it rains (which it did). Even if it's shockingly expensive (oh yes it is). Even if, due to a byzantyne system of passes, it's harder to see a film there than almost anywhere else on the planet.

Mostly though, it's great. Thousands of people turning up to party (yeah, sure, some people do a bit of work there as well, but not, y'know, proper work), determined to meet other like-minded people.

It's like being at an orgy: naturally there are knobs and twats everywhere, and it all makes you feel a little bit dirty, but it's exciting and as long as you don't get stuck with the same arsehole all night, it's good fun.

What Is Fair Use?

It is essential that writers, directors and filmmakers understand the principles of copyright law. Fair use is a complex law that decides when it is possible to use copyrighted material in a new work.

If you are looking for a more animated form of entertainment try the animated short Whale, in which a man is unpleasantly woken by a whale on his front steps and Wasp, a computer generated animation that shows what to do with an irritating wasp that's buzzing you when you're at the seaside.
